08/27/09: MSA Frosh 2009
Joint Frosh Advertising Campaign goes National
An Annual Project spanning across our wide homeland: MSA FROSH 2009 - Canada. First years tend to underestimate the affects of the uni-environment and overestimate the strength in their stance. We feel a grave necessity in servicing these incoming frosh in supportive guidance and mentorship. Forming the right relationships early can literally be a life-saver. Our effort here, simply put, is to connect an incoming student with their MSA and the MSA with these students. This bond can serve beneficial for both parties in the long run and rewards multiplied in the hereafter. The core of Project MSA Frosh 2009 is not to interfere with individual MSA Frosh events, but to enhance each other by means of advertising and to create links. Our approach is broadly three tiered: Poster Run, Juma Announcement and Online Marketing. The poster directs first-year students to www.msafrosh.com which functions as a portal linking the frosh to the MSA at their campus. There they also have the option to register as Frosh '09. The contact information from this form will then be forwarded to the appropriate MSA hence creating that two-way bridge between MSA and Frosh.

This session will be on the Saturday, August 15th at 10 a.m. Please make sure your MSA is represented and forward this invite to your constituents and leaders.Following the Roundtable, we've partnered with Council for the Advancement of Muslim Professionals (CAMP) in a seminar on planning for your career path while you are still in school. Come and hear from a panel of today's professionals, and learn how to achieve success tomorrow. This will be happening on Sunday, August 16th at 11 a.m.
ACTION NEEDED: Bring your friends and families, learn from esteemed shuyukh and join in with MSAs from across Canada. The speakers lineup for the Convention is spectacular and definitely worth the weekend. The Convention is $40 but MSA National will be reimbursing its volunteers. We will inshAllah also be having a video feed for those unable to travel to the convention, reply for more details and to volunteer.
